Where our story began
A visit to a coffee plantation in Indonesia helped shape the purpose behind līītt.
We came curious about coffee
Travelling through Indonesia, we wanted to see where coffee grows and meet the people behind it.
Every cup begins here
We watched freshly picked coffee cherries move through the plantation. Coffee felt more personal when we saw the work behind it.
We followed the process
We walked through the processing spaces, learning about the steps that happen long before coffee reaches our mornings.
Then we spoke with an owner
They told us how the plantation supports the surrounding community and how coffee sales help put resources back into local people.
That conversation stayed with us
Seeing a business support its community made us ask: how could we build that same intention into our own brand?
An intention behind līītt
We wanted to make mushroom coffee people enjoy each morning, and build a business that could give something back as it grows.
Indonesia gave us more to care about
In Sumatra, we also encountered local animal rescue efforts. Seeing people care for vulnerable wildlife gave us another reason to act.
Giving back is part of our plan
We’re developing a campaign to donate a few dollars from every purchase toward community initiatives and wildlife rescue in Indonesia.
Before it launches, we’ll share the partners, exact donation amount and how we’ll report the support.
